Sunday, January 01, 1939			Shirley is 15 years old right now (will turn 16 in September) and a Sophmore at Blair Highschool in Blair, Oklahoma.  Her sister Lois is 23 and is married to Pual Hyden.  Their parents, Leslie and Flora Idella are 48 and 45 in 1939 respectively.  Shirley and her parents live in Blair, Ok.

Friday, March 24, 1939	I am on the vollyball team (main player).  Went to tournament.  I played all the time.

Monday, August 07, 1939	Went to church.  Roy Jennings went with Margaret[?]. I went with Harold & Howard Woods.  Went riding after church.	I think this is Sun
Tuesday, August 08, 1939	Brother Perkins is holding a meeting have been going every nite.  Rained, didn't get to go.
Wednesday, August 09, 1939	Thelma stayed all nite with me.  We went to Church (Myron Dickson was saved) Margaret had a slumber party.	Myron Dickson "saved".
Thursday, August 10, 1939	Verla May & I went to Church.  Mother & Daddy went to Nellie Fayes Bridal Shower.  Harold brought me home.
Friday, August 11, 1939	Enrolled at school today.  Went home with Thelma.  We came to Church. Harold brought me home.	Junior Year Starting
